Chimney Sweep in Auburn California

I did a chimney sweep for this customer in Auburn and found that the chimney crown is in need of some refinishing and repair. Over time, the elements can weather the seal and mortar on the top. The cap can start to get rusted out, as you can see in this photo.

I did the chimney sweep, and recommended to the customer to schedule me to come back this Spring to replace the cap with a new one, and scrape off the old seal, and refinish it. Filling in any cracks with new mortar, and then sealing it with CrownSeal®.

This will give the chimney crown up to 10 years of weather proofing.
